摘要
Every student faces stressful situations which may have a negative influence on his or her academic performance. However, immigrant students are beset by stresses of their own, to do with their status, which have a negative influence on their academic performance and mental health. Despite that problem, schools have few means to help them to overcome these difficult situations. We present a descriptive study of the "Social Support Pilot Initiative", a pilot program of psycho-social intervention for migrant students. It shows that providing this segment of the population with socio-cultural support in their educational centers leads to better academic results.
