摘要
The purpose of this study is to investigate mothers' needs and expectations for participation in an F.L.P. The research was carried out in 3 state kindergartens, in Western Greece. The sample consisted of 24 mothers of preschool-aged children. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews. According to the results, mothers seem to have a narrow view of literacy and focus on more skills-based practices. They need training and guidance, to understand how to strengthen children's literacy at home. The results can contribute to the design of an F.L.P. so that all parents develop an active role in children's education.
