摘要
This article presents part of the results of one of the specific objectives of the doctoral research defended at the end of 2022, which is to 'elucidate the challenges faced and the learning obtained by teachers with a degree in Mathematics at IFTO during the Covid-19 pandemic'. The data were produced from interviews conducted with 20 graduates o f the Mathematics Degree courses at IFTO's Para & iacute;so and Palmas Campuses. The challenges faced by teachers focus on the following categories: accepting the 'new' and living with uncertainties; adapting to teleworking and dealing with the destructuring of time and space; adaptations/changes in teaching strategies in classes; dealing with socio-emotional issues (and the mix of emotions) and overcoming/facing various problems. With regard to learning, there are those involving personal aspects and professional aspects. It is concluded that the challenges faced by teachers (even some of them being 'old dressed up as new') were 'unique' because they brought to light personal teachings that revalidated learning for life and for the profession. This took on meaning for many who until then did not see the teacher as a professional.
