摘要
The agricultural sector frequently tussles with inefficient water utilization. This paper introduces a solar-powered irrigation system leveraging moisture sensing and IoT technologies to transform traditional farming. The system continuously monitors soil moisture with strategically placed sensors, enabling real-time decision-making for precise watering. The paper focuses on the SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy)and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). The system operates primarily on sustainable solar energy, offering scalability and affordability, reducing farmers' reliance on fossil fuels, and promoting sustainable agriculture and use of clean and affordable energy. It ensures that motors were turned activated or deactivated according to the moisture in the field and the respective status was displayed in the LCD as well. When the motor is turned ON or OFF, a message is conveyed to the respective phone and an "SMS Sent" message is displayed in the LCD.
