Optical Triplexer and Diplexer Filter Using Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal

摘要
A crucial part of the FTTH (fibre to the home) network, the photonic crystal optical diplexer and triplexer, is investigated. Three optical filters-implemented by the internal cavities put into the waveguides as well as two PhC waveguides with a single line defect make up the proposed optical diplexer and triplexer. Each optical filter's resonant behaviour is tuned by adjusting the size or index of the cavity's central point defect in order to divide three wavelength signals. Three distinct micro pillars make up the resonant ring, which makes it easier to tune the resonant wavelength and improved power coupling effectiveness. In Proposed diplexer wavelengths obtained for Port 1 and Port 2 are 0.16 mu m for 1550 nm and 0.122 mu m for 1310 nm respectively same way in triplexer for 3 ports the values are 0.122 mu m for 1310 nm, 0.145 mu m for 1490 nm and 0.16 mu m for 1550 nm.
