摘要
Color uniformity has become a very important factor in high-resolution and large-area displays due to the development of organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). Therefore, there has been active research on the manufacture of OLED banks and bank materials that affect the uniformity of the emitting layer (EML). In this study, the effect on the uniformity of the EML and device performance due to concentration changes of the fluorine compound included in the OLED bank was examined. To achieve this aim, a bank was fabricated using a phenomenon, in which fluorine components are distributed on the surface of a thin film, and the surface energy was controlled using changes in concentration. In addition, by controlling the concentration of the fluorine component, the coffee ring effect within the pixels was minimized, excellent uniformity was achieved, and the current and power efficiencies improved by 28% and 33%, respectively. These results are expected to contribute to the improvement of major technologies that secure high resolution and color clarity, which will be the core of next-generation displays.
