摘要
Community-based study designs have been utilized in several settings, including preschool settings, to improve health outcomes such as physical activity in preschool-age children. This essay describes my perspective on how I (first author) engage and maintain community partners (i.e., preschool centers) in designing and implementing physical activity interventions set in the preschool center. I will also highlight the importance of interdisciplinary research teams and the key elements of establishing a long-term partnership with community partners.
