Analysis of the training in body expression of the students in the degree of infant education in the University of Extremadura

Objective: to analyze the knowledge about body expression in students of the degree in early childhood education at the University of Extremadura, academic year 2022-2023. Method: the study is based on a quantitative-non-experimental approach, with a descriptive design. To do this, a questionnaire on training in body expression was applied to a sample of 84 students. In addition, descriptive statistics were applied, average and isolations using the statistical program SPSS V.27. Results: students in the last year of the degree in early childhood education at the University of Extremadura do not have the necessary training to apply content on body expression in the classroom. In addition, participants consider that currently educational centers do not give enough importance to body expression, as a result of the lack of material, lack of conditioning of educational facilities and lack of time in the daily schedules of students. Conclusion: students in early childhood education do not have the necessary training to be able to dedicate part of their time to body expression, and the number of credits in university training in the field of body expression should be improved and increased, as well as the continued and specific training of active teachers.
