Polymer and nanoparticle sedimentary film-forming and strengthening wellbore wall technology

摘要
In the exploration process of shale oil reservoirs, instability of wellbore is prone to occur, which can lead to collapse of wellbore and abandonment of the wellbore. Therefore, it is necessary to reinforce the wellbore containing shale. Recently, researchers have been emulating biomineralization processes to enhance the integrity of wellbore walls. In this work, sedimentary films derive from the mineralization deposition of 45.5 nm SiO2 nanoparticles with polymers. SEM shows that the optimal PAH/PAA/PAH/SiO2 film has a denser structure, leading to enhanced flatness and smoothness. Filtration tests indicated that the optimal film reduced the filtrate volume to 21.1 mL and achieved a sealing efficiency of over 20%, thereby demonstrating effective filtration control. Through an exploration of drilling construction technology, this research highlights the promising application potential of this approach in fortifying shale wellbore walls.
