Syntheses, structures and antioxidant activities of two new Cu(II) complexes with a benzimidazole schiff base ligand

摘要
Two new copper complexes based on aschiff base ligand (N-(methyl-2- benzimidazolmethylidene)-2-hydroxyaniline (L), [CuL2NO3]NO3<middle dot>2EtOH (1),and [CuLNO3](2)<middle dot>2EtOH (2) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental, spectroscopic methods and X-ray structural analyses. The results of single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses indicate that 1 is a mononuclear structure; 2 is a binuclear units. These structures are further extended 3D supramolecular frameworks by the hydrogen bonds and pi...pi stacking interactions in the solid state. Furthermore, the antioxidant activities of L, 1 and 2 were also studied.
