摘要
The study of the optical properties of magnesium-aluminum spinel is relevant because the material has prospects for practical applications and the possibility of use in dosimetry. Therefore, it is important to study the radiation resistance of spinel. This research aims to study the effect of high-energy irradiation, 12.5 MeV, on its optical properties and features of defect formation. It shows that irradiation stimulates the formation of luminescence centers, which is important for solid-state dosimetry. The results indicate the prospects of using non-stoichiometric spinel as a dosimetric material for intense beams of nuclear radiation.
