摘要
Background and Objectives:This study aimed to evaluate and contrast the impact of various surface treatments on the shear bond strength (SBS) of composite resin and RMGIC on Biodentine.Materials and Methods:Sixty acrylic blocks with 4mm diameter and 2mm depth central cavities were made, and Biodentine (Septodont, France) was filled into the cavities and sorted into three groups (n = 20) based on the different surface treatments on Biodentine. The SBS was evaluated by employing a knife-edge blade in a universal testing machine, and fractured surfaces were analyzed under a Scanning electron microscope. Results:The study results indicated that the use of 9% hydrofluoric acid etching with Biodentine resulted in significantly greater SBS compared to the other groups, namely 37% phosphoric acid etching with Biodentine and intraoral sandblasting with Biodentine.Conclusion:9% hydrofluoric acid etching was the preferred choice of surface treatment on Biodentine in vital pulp therapy and composite resin showed better SBS with Biodentine.
