摘要
The study of the nature of Russian-Serbian relations, as an integral part of the broad rivalry of the great powers for political influence in the Balkans, is closely linked with the analysis of the strategic interests of the Russian Empire in the region, with the international problem of the Black Sea straits and the reasons for the transformation of the Balkans into the "powder keg of Europe". However, the study of the role of the economic factor as an integral part of the broad Russian-Austrian rivalry in the Balkans, as well as its role in the implementation of the global political strategy of the St. Petersburg ruling circles in this region, opens up for researchers a new layer of Russian- Serbian relations of the early twentieth century, which still requires detailed analysis, which and this article is devoted to this, which is based on documents from the archive of the foreign policy of the Russian Empire.
