Bilateral Testicular Rupture Progression Status Post Blunt Trauma: A Case Report

A bilateral testicular rupture is an injury to both testicles, due to blunt trauma that results in a disruption of the tunica albuginea layer. It results in the testicular contents to no longer be contained. Early identification is necessary to determine the extent of testicular injury, to potentially salvage the testicles. This case study demonstrates how imperative sonography is prior to diagnosis and after surgical intervention, for bilateral testicular rupture. Sonography can be used to identify key imaging findings and characteristics in patients with scrotal trauma.
