摘要
The educational process for the development of individuals is of vital importance for society, as it provides the foundations for understanding the needs within the school environment. Among these needs, disciplines such as sports and physical activity are strongly emphasized in the physical education curriculum. This study seeks to analyze the importance of physical education by considering key issues related to the principles of activity, school physical education, and sport for those involved in the discipline. This study was conducted through a qualitative and quantitative methodology, based on the analysis of a questionnaire completed by 119 individuals who have had contact with physical education. The findings revealed that sport and physical activity were effectively integrated through the inclusion of physical education in schools. However, several additional actions are needed to enhance this relationship and maximize its benefits for the population.
