摘要
Attending college is pivotal for many young adults. For students of color, this experience may be shaped by environmental differences, limited representation, or prejudiced behaviors affecting college satisfaction and attendance. As colleges pursue changes to demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the social work profession should lead the way. DEI and social justice are core professional values. This study explores racial microaggression literature within social work education, examining experiences of students of color in U.S. social work programs. Findings highlight the lack of literature on racial microaggressions despite the profession's emphasis on antiracism, DEI, and social justice. Recommendations to mitigate racial microaggressions within social work education are discussed.
