摘要
The increasing emphasis on generating power from renewable and sustainable energy sources is evident, propelled by escalating energy demands and the requirement for environmental conservation. Given its clean and noise-free characteristics, photovoltaic (PV) energy has witnessed a substantial rise in its penetration within the global electricity industry. Traditionally, to maximize energy harvesting, PV systems are typically governed by a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) scheme. Accordingly, in this article, a simple analytical scheme is introduced for achieving MPP tracking in PV systems. The developed approach is based on analytical reasoning of the P-pv - V-pv characteristic curve and the comparison of the MPP voltage VMPP with the PV panel voltage VPV without the need of any controller. The obtained results show high performances of the developed MPPT scheme in both steady-state and dynamic operations subjected to weather conditions variations. Furthermore, in comparison with the traditional P&O algorithm, the developed MPPT confirms its superiority in terms of simplicity, tracking speed and steady-state robustness.
