摘要
The gender gap in academia is a central issue in many research studies, which have highlighted the under-representation of women in publications, citations they receive, or presence in university governing bodies. A less analyzed area is the gender disparity in the reading materials in university syllabi. The syllabi are essential for learning and reflect the main contents and references for students. Exposure to gender-biased readings may affect students' perceptions of who is recognized as an authority in their field of knowledge. This study examines gender representation in the syllabi on the Political Science and Public Management Degree at the University of Burgos, considering the impact of variables such as professor's gender and age. The objective is to identify trends and provide a basis for future research and inclusion strategies.
