摘要
The current study examined the perceptions of commonly employed aging-related measures among older adults. We recruited 56 older adults (M-Age = 65.96, 42% female, 94% white) and presented them with 12 scales commonly employed to capture aspects of healthy aging. After viewing each scale, the participants completed a questionnaire regarding the scale's ease of use and other critical elements of healthy aging they perceived as not captured by these measures. On average, participants rated the aging-related scales as easy to understand and interpret, though the measures varied in their ease of use. Roughly half of the participants did not report any healthy aging constructs missing from our survey. These findings could inform future measurement development and research on healthy aging.
