摘要
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), a toxic and corrosive gas, poses significant risks in various industries and environments. This paper presents an electrochemical sensor designed for the detection of H2S within a concentration range of 0.01 ppm to 100 ppm. The sensor utilizes Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) functionalized with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-oxyl (TEMPO) to enhance sensitivity. The fabrication process involves a straightforward method for forming the sensor surface, demonstrating the deposition of SWCNTs using a dropcoating technique. The TEMPO-functionalized sensor exhibits improved sensitivity, achieving a 120 % enhancement at 0.01 ppm compared to the non-functionalized sensor. The results indicate that the developed sensor shows promise for real-time detection of H2S at low concentrations and at room temperature.
