摘要
The emergence of white-box routers has brought a significant shift to networking and cybersecurity. These routers are well-known for their adaptability and programmability, allowing them to provide a diverse approach to network security and routing. This paper looks primarily at how white-box routers can fight versus distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) assaults. Our framework detects and mitigates DDoS assaults using white-box routers and machine learning-based detection and mitigation modules.The relevance of dataset selection and real-time traffic analysis is emphasized in the study. Experimental tests confirm its effectiveness while maintaining network performance. White-box routers provide a practical solution for enhancing network security due to their tailored security, open standards-based systems, and adaptable hardware. In summary, this research underscores the potential of white-box routers as a cornerstone of modern cybersecurity strategies. They enable adaptive and resilient network security, addressing the challenges posed by evolving cyber threats. These findings contribute to ongoing discussions on adaptive network security and the need for continual innovation in safeguarding critical network infrastructure.
