Career maturity and career adaptability among vocational high school students: a moderated mediation model of future time perspective and future work self

摘要
This study examines future work self as a mediator and future time perspective as a moderator in the relationship between career maturity and career adaptability, from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. A sample of 636 Chinese vocational high school students was investigated. The results indicated that career maturity was associated with a clearly envisioned future work self, which in turn was related to high career adaptability. The interaction effect of career maturity and future time perspective was significantly associated with career adaptability. These results offer valuable insights for career development among vocational high school students. Diese Studie untersucht die berufliche Reife als unabh & auml;ngigen Faktor und die Zukunftsperspektive als Moderator in der Beziehung zwischen dem zuk & uuml;nftigen Arbeitsselbst und der beruflichen Anpassungsf & auml;higkeit, sowohl aus theoretischer als auch aus empirischer Sicht. Eine Stichprobe von 636 chinesischen Berufssch & uuml;lern wurde untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die berufliche Reife mit einem klar vorgestellten zuk & uuml;nftigen Arbeitsselbst verbunden war, das wiederum mit hoher beruflicher Anpassungsf & auml;higkeit in Zusammenhang stand. Der Interaktionseffekt von beruflicher Reife und Zukunftsperspektive war signifikant mit der beruflichen Anpassungsf & auml;higkeit assoziiert. Diese Ergebnisse bieten wertvolle Einblicke in die berufliche Entwicklung von Berufssch & uuml;lern. Este estudio examina la madurez profesional como un factor independiente y la perspectiva de tiempo futuro como un moderador en la relaci & oacute;n entre el yo laboral futuro y la adaptabilidad profesional, desde perspectivas tanto te & oacute;ricas como emp & iacute;ricas. Se investig & oacute; una muestra de 636 estudiantes chinos de escuelas secundarias vocacionales. Los resultados indicaron que la madurez profesional estaba asociada con un yo laboral futuro claramente visualizado, que a su vez estaba relacionado con una alta adaptabilidad profesional. El efecto de interacci & oacute;n de la madurez profesional y la perspectiva de tiempo futuro estaba significativamente asociado con la adaptabilidad profesional. Estos resultados ofrecen valiosas ideas para el desarrollo profesional entre estudiantes de escuelas secundarias vocacionales.
