摘要
Operational decisions are the backbone of every production focused company. Their optimization is the key to obtaining and maintaining an efficient enterprise. This task can be achieved with information systems, especially ones called Decision Support Systems. The current data-driven world means that the DSS subcategory - Intelligent Decision Support Systems are of increasing popularity. This trend can be observed in both the literature and real-life implementations. Unfortunately, the increase in popularity visible in the literature is also causing the terminological boundaries to become blurred. The goal of this article is to examine the essence and scale of this trend with regard to solutions dedicated to operational decisions. The research also examines other aspects of the solutions, and presents some insights into areas of application and the methods used to build such solutions.
