Preparation of Carbon Quantum Dot with Copper Nanoparticles Using Mugwort Leaves as Carbon Source to Construct FRET Fluorescent Sensor for Melamine Detection

摘要
Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have gained extensive attention due to their excellent properties and wide applications. In this study, we selected the common Chinese herb mugwort as the carbon source and employed the microwave heating method to synthesize CQDs with a quantum yield of 13.54 %. These CQDs exhibited blue fluorescence under UV light irradiation. Furthermore, we constructed a fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) mechanism by combining CQDs with copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) for the detection of melamine. The detection limit for melamine was determined to be 0.83 nmol/L, with a linear range of 1-100 nmol/L. The results demonstrated the potential of this sensing system for the sensitive and selective detection of melamine.
