Theoretical-Propositive Approach on the use of the ODS Mandala as a Tool for the Sustainable Management of Tourism Enterprises

The dynamic and comprehensive tourist phenomenon causes significant interference in the environments in which it operates, as well as being influenced by them. Concern about these impacts motivated the need to base the management of the activity on more ethical development models, with the sustainability paradigm being adopted in this study, especially with regard to the search for a monitoring tool applicable to those who operate tourism. Therefore, the objective of the study was to reflect on the feasibility of using the SDG Mandala, proposed by the National Confederation of Municipalities, as a tool for the sustainable management of Brazilian tourist enterprises. To this end, the exploratory, applied research, with qualitative approach, relied on the contributions of bibliographic, electronic and documentary research for the inferences contained therein. As main results, it was observed that the adaptation of the Mandala ODS CNM to the local reality can serve as a tool for the management of Brazilian tourist enterprises, providing better identification of the locality's weaknesses and strengths and, consequently, greater effectiveness in actions aimed at sustainable development of tourism, in light of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda.
