摘要
This narrative review aims to describe the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in pregnant women and their children, as well as the immune response generated in the binomial with vaccination. For this purpose, a literature review was performed in different platforms. With the results obtained, it was observed that COVID-19 during pregnancy is associated with various maternal-fetal complications, which decrease with anti-COVID-19 vaccination. This immunization has shown, in addition to adequate safety, placental transfer of antibodies to the fetus and breast milk, offering protection to the newborn against hospitalization due to COVID-19. It is concluded that this data support anti-COVID-19 immunization during gestation.
