摘要
A comprehensive study of a low-profile, cost-effective, miniaturized dual layered EBG backed disc shaped wearable RFID tag antenna is discussed in this paper. Employing the low loss characteristics of felt substrate, proposed EBG backed disc shaped antenna is printed on it. Proposed 4x4 EBG unit-cell array provides 42% compactness at f (r)=5.8 GHz. Mostly, proposed dual layered EBG backed RFID tag antenna focuses on low Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) consumption for flexible and harmless on-body applications. Moreover, the proposed dual layered RFID tag antenna is kept into a meshed human hand model to evaluate SAR value in a practical manner.
