摘要
Primary care is the user's gateway to the healthcare system. Involving professionals such as general practitioners, nurses and pharmacists, it plays a key role in the management of chronic and acute illnesses. Primary care research aims to improve the quality of care offered to users. It addresses issues such as chronic disease management, access to care and the effectiveness of clinical practices. A mixed-methods approach, it makes increasing use of knowledge transfer to apply results to practice.
