摘要
The article presents a generalizing study of the typological and genre specifics of Russian journalism about culture. The development of Russian journalism about culture is presented by the example of the departments of culture of large universal mass media and specialized media about culture. The importance of the research is related to the importance of this thematic area of journalism, the digitalization of journalism about culture, the growth of the number of media on this topic, and the emergence of new authors. There are not many studies on this topic in Russia as a whole. Genres in large universal media are represented by news and reviews, they are also found on Internet portals, but Internet portals are much more free to choose genres, and many periodicals about culture and art retain the traditional magazine genre structure. The content in these media is represented by news about past or upcoming cultural events, articles about cultural figures, cinema and much more. The promotion of news materials about culture and art is largely carried out thanks to social networks. In modern times, the topic of culture is very wide and it is influenced by the theme of lifestyle. In Russia, universal and specialized cultural media and social media communities produce a large amount of cultural content. Major media outlets promote cultural projects and new works of art, especially cinematography. Due to digitalization and the emergence of many new communities on social networks, thematic sites require updating genre and typological approaches in the study of this area. While maintaining large media outlets, which largely determine the direction of production of cultural content, audience fragmentation will continue to develop due to the emergence of new communities on social networks and thematic sites about culture and art.
