摘要
The projections towards the scope of a quality universal health coverage are conditioned by the formation processes of nursing human resources. In this sense, this article aims to configure a theoretical approach related to the development of research competence in nursing students through the subject Basic Nursing. In this purpose, a descriptive documentary investigation was developed through a critical analysis of a group of documentary sources, in order to delimit and direct the main trends found towards the configuration of a theoretical approach related to the development of research competence. Recognizing that research competence is manifested transversally in the professional training process. Concluding that in the development of the investigative competition the nursing student must show knowing, knowing how to do, want to do and be able to do, in the resolution of professional problems.
