摘要
The primary goal of palatoplasty is to restore the form and function of the palate. At its core, this requires a thorough understanding of speech motor/ LVP muscle anatomy in both its normal and clefted configuration so that appropriate and coherent corrective surgical techniques can be employed. It is the hope of the authors that this dissertation serves as a guide for those providers who undertake the undeniably rewarding challenge of palatoplasty and management of patients with cleft palate.
