摘要
Harmonic elimination using active power filters (APF) is a widely used method in today's electrical systems. Harmonic detection for calculating the reference current for the APF is a critical aspect of harmonic elimination performance. Therefore, this work presents the improved harmonic detection process for the APF with a focus on enhancing harmonic elimination performance. This enhancement takes into consideration the computation delays that arise during the calculation process. Harmonic detection delay can degrade the efficiency of the harmonic elimination system if not considered in the reference current calculation. Therefore, improvements in the delay of harmonic detection are proposed and clearly explained using the sliding window with Fourier analysis (SWFA) technique for harmonic elimination with an APF in single-phase systems as an example. The results confirm that the proposed computation delay improvement provides better harmonic detection performance.
