The syntax of Brazilian Portuguese from a cartographic perspective

This review briefly presents and offers considerations on the book "A sintaxe do portugu & ecirc;s brasileiro em perspectiva cartogr & aacute;fica" by Aquiles Tescari Neto and Sandra Quarezemin. The work is structured around two main fronts: the explanation of the epistemological and methodological bases of the cartographic program; and its application in research involving Brazilian Portuguese in contact with other languages or not. To this end, the book provides analyses focused on the VP, IP, and CP domains of the clause, in addition to a cartographic approach to nanosyntax and an interview with Guglielmo Cinque. This review focuses on such content in order to evaluate and recommend it to researchers and enthusiasts of the involved themes.
