Design of ultra-wideband miniaturized dual-polarized dipole antenna

摘要
In this paper, an ultra-wideband miniaturized dipole antenna with dual polarization is proposed. The antenna consists of metal radiating structures, dielectric substrates, resistors, rectangular metal strips, feed structures and a split ring at the top. By cutting rectangular slots in the dipole arms, we introduce multiple resonance modes. By adjusting the length of the rectangular slots, we distributed the excited resonant modes uniformly in the operating band, and finally obtained a bandwidth of 0.7-3.0 GHz. After that, we connect resistors at the end of the dipole arms to absorb the end current and introduce rectangular metal strips at the back of the dielectric substrates to optimize the impedance matching of the antenna. Meanwhile, the antenna high-frequency gain enhancement is realized by the split ring on the top. We processed and tested the designed antenna. The test results indicate that the antenna can realize 124% impedance bandwidth with a size of 0.19 lambda(max) x 0.19 lambda(max) x 0.14 lambda(max). At the same time, the antenna has a port isolation of more than 20dB and a peak gain of 5dB, and has a broad application prospect.
