摘要
Intellectual virtues are virtues pertaining to various aspects of human intellect and thought and are acquired through education. This study investigates the nature of intellectual virtues within the framework of Sadr & amacr;'s philosophy using a descriptiveanalytical method. The findings reveal that, from Mull & amacr; Sadr & amacr;'s perspective, intellectual virtues are linked to a person's character and are attained to actualize true perfection. Psychical faculties and capabilities necessary for acquiring knowledge can be considered intellectual virtues insofar as they involve human free will and are directed toward achieving true happiness and felicity. Sadr & amacr; identifies specific characteristics of intellectual virtues: they are existential, gradational, and volitional, representing the superiority and advantage of their possessor. Additionally, stability, necessity, and priority are among the defining traits of these virtues.
