摘要
This study evaluates the areal density capability of dual-layer media with an exchange break layer using renormalized micromagnetics. Previously, exchange decoupled dual-layer media has been shown to have better SNR performance compared to single layer media. In this work, we investigate the on-track bits per inch capability (BPIC) as well as tracks per inch capability (TPIC) performance under various temperatures as we evaluate and compare the optimized ADC of the media with baseline single-layer media.
