摘要
Centrifugal fans with the volute body; marble, wood, cement, textile, etc. It is used in the transport of various powders in industries. In order for the fans to be used in these applications to work efficiently, the fan performance must be well known. In this study, a high-pressure radial fan whose performance curves are unknown was tested in a wind tunnel designed according to ANSI/AMCA-210 standard and experimental fan performance curves were obtained. Then, performance parameters were calculated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods. Differences between numerical and experimental results were obtained within acceptable limits and the optimum operating range of the fan was determined according to the performance curves obtained. The overlap of the theoretical and experimental approaches used in this study revealed that similar fans can be used as a tested example for the initial design or partial development of existing similar fans in future studies.
