摘要
BackgroundRadial forearm free flap is the workhorse for head and neck reconstruction especially for complex soft tissue defects.Materials and MethodsRetrospective study of 117 consecutive radial forearm free flaps performed during the ten years from 2012 to 2022.ResultsOur study's survival rate of radial forearm free flap was 94.1% (110/117). The donor site tendon exposure occurred in five patients; secondary skin grafting was required in seven patients.ConclusionRadial forearm free flap is ideal for complex soft tissue head and neck defect reconstruction as it has a high success rate with low donor site morbidity.
