摘要
This article discusses WandaAchremowicz's text titled "Remarks on the Role of Sound in Mickiewicz's Poetry" (published in 1955 as part of the "Centenary of Mickiewicz"). It aims to explore the postulates regarding the role of voice in the poet's work. As the author writes, "In the Mickiewiczian world of sounds, the human voice plays the primary role as an incredibly flexible tool of emotional expression, both in its unarticulated form and, even more so, in conjunction with words. Only then is it an expression of the entire psycho-physical essence of man" (p. 110). The human voice, as a medium capable of conveying intentions, emotional states, and heart movements, provides a unique perspective in this area. Referring to it significantly enriches the portrayal of characters, particularly regarding their inner lives. The main issues addressed in the article include the phonic characteristics of selected characters, the specificity of emotions associated with the voice, the voice as a tool of encounter and its impact, and the various paths of the voice, with particular emphasis on the relationship between the heart and the voice in the works of Adam Mickiewicz.
