摘要
Polycrystalline CeO2 nanoparticles of various shapes were synthesized, using a forced thin-film type reactor, from aqueous solutions of cerium nitrate and aluminum nitrate. Rod-like nanoparticles were obtained at Ce:Al molar ratios of 95:5 and 80:20. Little aluminum was incorporated into the CeO2 crystals, and amorphous nanoclusters of aluminum compounds were formed on the surface of the CeO2 nanoparticles, which inhibited the growth of the CeO2 particles in water and during heat treatment in air.
