摘要
The effects of common iron oxides (magnetite and hematite) on the Q235A steel corrosion induced by Methanothrix/Methanospirllum-dominant microbiota were investigated in this study. The results indicated that both magnetite and hematite promoted the attachment of methanogenic microbiota and electron transfer between methanogenic microbiota and steel, thereby leading to about 2.5-3.7 times increase in the corrosion rate of steel induced by Methanothrix/Methanospirllum-dominant microbiota. This promotion is attributed to that iron oxides avoided the formation of dense deposit sediments on the steel surface, provided Fe(III) ions to Clostridial capable of iron-reducing, and enriched acetate-oxidizing bacteria.
