摘要
NEET trajectories are generally analyzed in relation to macro elements such as labor market characteristics and, less often, micro-level dimensions such as the characteristics of a person's family of origin. Employing EU-SILC 2019 data, we analyzed the relation between micro-level dimensions, with an emphasis on the level of education of parents, and NEET status in four EU countries: Italy, Ireland, Lithuania, and Romania. The results show that NEET status in all four countries is the combined result of factors related to socio-familial, economic, and cultural origin, where the level of education of the parents plays a central role.
