摘要
This manuscript critiques, explores, expands, and applies HebCrit, a theoretical framework designed to address antisemitism by adapting Critical Race Theory (CRT) to the unique experiences and identities of diverse Jewish communities. This expanded version of HebCrit integrates intersectionality, Critical Whiteness Studies, and diverse Jewish ethnic perspectives to provide a nuanced analysis of antisemitism as both a historical and contemporary phenomenon. The manuscript critiques existing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice, and Belonging (DEIJB) initiatives in higher education for their frequent exclusion of Jewish experiences and argues for a more inclusive approach that recognizes the complex intersections of race, religion, and ethnicity. Through a detailed examination of institutionalized antisemitism, the paper highlights the necessity for empirical support and practical applications of HebCrit in educational, legal, and social contexts. This expanded adaptation of HebCrit aims to by provide a more inclusive, intersectional approach to understanding and combating antisemitism, ultimately advocating for systemic changes that promote true equity and inclusion for all marginalized communities.
