Unraveling factors that drive online consumers' intention to use smart parcel lockers for last-mile delivery

摘要
Smart Parcel Lockers have been developed in Asia in recent years. They have transformed the traditional way of last-mile delivery to self-service delivery. However, user adoption rates have not reached anticipated levels. In this study, we extend the UTAUT model to identify the factors influencing consumers' intention to use smart parcel lockers. Data was collected from a survey of 237 online customers. The results confirm the positive effect of Performance expectancy, Effort expectancy, Social influence, Innovativeness, Compatibility and negative effect of Perceived risk on the intention to use. Compatibility moderates the relationship between Innovativeness and the intention to use.
