摘要
Over the past few decades, the chemiluminescence technique in analytical method development has become an active area of research. Antioxidant analysis in food matrices is a key application due to its high selectivity and sensitivity. Different chemiluminescence methods have been developed for the analysis of antioxidants over the years. However, chemiluminescence-based antioxidant analysis in food matrices has not been covered as a single topic in a review form yet. The aim of this critical review article is to provide the reader with a primary source to find information on the chemiluminescence principle, pros and cons compared to more conventional methods for antioxidant analysis, recent applications, future directions, routine implementation, and perspectives.
