The Eighteenth-Century Conversational Model of Perico and Marica

This article analyzes the Conversaciones de Perico y Marica, published anonymously in 1788, for their conversational model within the evolution of the dialogued genre. During the eighteenth century, an opinion journalism was developed that propagated enlightened ideas, whose implications depend on the respective conventions of the literary genres used, as in the conversational model of eighteenth-century dialogue.
