摘要
This paper proposes a dielectric resonator antenna that is small and efficient. It uses the aperture coupling technique to improve wideband performance for Ku-band applications. The antenna that is being proposed has a small volume of 30 x 30 x 1.6 mm3, and it is made of an affordable FR-4 substrate. At a resonance frequency of 12.92 GHz, the simulated impedance bandwidth is observed between 11.93 GHz and 14.01 GHz, with a maximum return loss of 28.2 dB. Within the operational frequency band spectrum, the suggested antenna radiates with more than 70% radiation efficiency.
