摘要：

This research work focuses on the study of a novel villa project by the Welsh architect John Prichard in Cadiz, on the premises of the Gonz & aacute;lez Byass winery in Jerez de la Frontera. The villa at Quinta de la Alameda was never built, but if it had been, it would have been the only one of its kind in the city. Prichard's design served as a model for other later projects and was a pioneer in the use of English architectural resources, so different from what had hitherto been done in Jerez. Furthermore, this research work contextualizes the project within an era of strong British influence in the city.
