摘要
With the development and evolution of Industry 4.0, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has received extensive attention. To improve the transmission reliability of industrial sensors, wireless relay technology is widely used in IIoT. However, frequent forwarding of short packets causes serious resource waste, which is intolerable for some energy-constrained relays. Data aggregation technology can effectively improve the transmission efficiency of relays but also brings the problem of transmission timeliness. In this paper, a data aggregation scheme is proposed for IIoT and the information freshness constraints measured by age of information (AoI) are jointly considered. Both the closed-form expressions of transmission efficiency and average AoI are derived. In addition, the closed-form solution of the optimal aggregation time is obtained. Simulation results show that the transmission efficiency of the relay is significantly improved by the proposed scheme compared with the traditional decode-and-forward system.
