摘要
The epidemic from COVID-19 has spread so much to become the most serious pandemic of the last century with a consequent health crisis that has brought out the various fragilities already present in Italian health systems. One of the negative effects on public health is that people with poor access to healthcare with symptoms related to COVID-19 may delay or even give up testing. The article analyzed how Covid-19 influenced the activities of the Department of Oncology of the University Hospital "Federico II" of Naples (Italy). The logistic regression technique has been used to analyze a series of dependent variables of 1018 patients depending on the year (2019/2020). The distribution of patients is as follows: 625 patients for 2019 (in absence of Covid-19) and 393 patients 2020 (in the pandemic emergency). Results show a decrease in patients admitted to the ward with the spread of emergency from Covid-19.
